lewisham primary book Awards 2020
Take part in the Lewisham Primary book awards, designed to encourage conversations about great books in classrooms and schools across the borough.
The Lewisham Primary Book Awards community consist of a primary school librarian - Ruth Horsman, a book shop Moon Lane Books - represented by manager Jasmine Dellimore, and a teaching professional and co-creator of www.lovemybooks.co.uk - Sue McGonigle
They have joined forces to bring you a selection of the newest and best fiction for under 12s.
They have put together the shortlist using the following criteria:
-
The books need to be engaging and relevant to the age range - for Reception to Upper Key Stage 2.
-
The books are new – the version we have selected has been published in the last 12 months.
-
There is a mix of positive representation across the shortlist – we want children in Lewisham schools to see themselves reflected in the books as much as possible.
